History Project

This is our History project video.
Half English, half Spanish. Subtitled. <3
I had fun drawing the light sabers and the Kamehameha frame by frame… It was a lot of work, but it was fun. We also forgot to add a few more credits. Ack.

History is the only class where we can really express ourselves, in my opinion. The rest of the teachers expect us to be formal, serious and… stuck to the rules? It’s not good for developing creative minds. Ah, I’m rambling again.

Enjoy. <3

I was surfing the other day and found two websites worth bookmarking, in my opinion. That is, if you are a Nintendo freak and craft lover.

Nintendo Papercraft
Geek Crafts

I am such a geek. :’D

Maus

My classmates decided to make their parents talk to the administration about the failing grades that were given on the Literature exam. They gave in and accepted our original grades but we wouldn’t get credit for that question, which was worth ten points, so instead of a 94, I will get an 84. I’m OK with it, at least it’s better than a 10.

We are nearly finishing One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey. After that, there is a slight chance that we will read Maus by Art Spiegelman. It’s quite exciting and it sounds fun too, since it would be the first time we would read be required to read a graphic novel for our Literature class. It’s basically a memoir of the Holocaust, and its characters are anthropomorphic animals (It will so bring back memories about the time I was reading Animal Farm).

I am thinking about checking the bookstores here to see if they have the graphic novel. I will get my hands on it even if we don’t end up reading it for our Literature class.

First Day

So I am back to school from my two week vacation and well… my first day was rather OK. It was a fresh day, compared to the hot, sunny days we had two weeks ago. It even rained a little, which is good. I like rain. There was something that bothered me though - I got a bad grade on a midterm exam, which lowers my average drastically.

All the effort I put into studying for my Literature exam was in vain because I was misjudged, accused of plagiarism/copying and received a failing grade. Eh, 10/100 to be exact. Wonderful, don’t you think? Well, I don’t mean to just rant and bitch about this for paragraphs and paragraphs. I am getting over it quickly for some reason. It’s not like I don’t care about my grade, but meh, even though they gave me that horrid grade, it just was a stupid misjudgment from part of the teacher and the school admin and well, I am conscious that I really don’t deserve that grade. *Kicks school*

Other than that, the day went by smoothly. I was glad to see my friends again, and I got a few souvenir gifts from two of my friends - a green pen with a bird stuck to it from Mexico and a bird keyring from Macas. The worst thing of all is that I hate birds. :’D I do appreciate the gifts though.

Thank you~!
